HOWARD SCREENING BUCKETS

Screener buckets

The Howard Screener buckets (HSB) consists of 8 models with five models within the excavator range and 3 models within the loader range, the excavator range includes the HSB-30, HSB-50, HSB 80, HSB130 & HSB220 and will suit excavators from 2.5 tonnes to 22 tonnes. Within in the loader range there will be 3 models available, the HSB-ML (Mini loader) and the HSB-SS150 & SS170. A fourth model is to be introduced to the loader range in spring 2012 which will be called the HSB-LL and will suit medium sized loaders such as Backhoe loaders and Tele-Handlers.

The screener buckets are light in weight thanks to the utilisation of their specially designed flexible Poly discs, the special design of these discs and the one direction rotation of the screening axles circulate the material around inside the bucket allowing the smaller material (20mm down) out through the screening area without trapping or crushing the oversize material which is left behind inside the bucket. The advantages of this system are that the screening discs are self-cleaning which allows a maximum through put of material at all times giving the user a quick and quality screened product. The other advantages of this system are that you can separate plastic bottles and tin cans from leaves which have been collected by road sweepers from public roads etc. The ability of our screening buckets to separate the bottles and cans from leaves is proving popular option to waste transfer centres as a simple and cost effective process to not only separate the bottles and cans from the leaves but also to mix and blend composts within the transfer centres. The buckets can also be used for the removal troublesome Japanese knotweed from topsoil’s leaving the user safe in the knowledge that the Howard Screener buckets will not damage our chop any of the Japanese Knotweed roots back into the topsoil.

The new screener buckets from Howard equipment are simply use and follow the same hydraulic feed system used by their crusher buckets which are also on the market, both types of buckets use a single acting hammer line from the excavators or mini/midi loaders, this eliminates the need for extra hydraulic circuits to be fitted to the machine carriers and also opens up both the Screener bucket range and Crusher bucket range to hire companies or contractors with more than one machine on their fleet allowing them to move the buckets from machine to machine without further expense. The Howard Screening buckets also offer a low maintenance cost thanks to their fully sealed bearings units which protected together with their carbon belt chain drive system within a fully sealed chain box protecting them from any harmful dust and grit during use.
